OBJECTIVE The objective of this project was to create an appealing poster that would create interest in the Newport Jazz Festival which is held annually in Newport, Rhode Island.

APPROACH I knew going into this project that I wanted to test my illustrative skills while still incorporating my passion for typography. Also, I wanted to embody the mood of the festival which has a fun, summer vibe, but also keeps the class and soul associated with jazz music in mind. Reflecting on this project, I am extremely pleased with the sense of depth and movement I was able to create for this piece.
